AFFINISOL HPMC HME is hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, HPMC), a novel excipient having substitution ranges of 22.0-27.0% for methoxyl content and 25.0-32.0% for hydroxypropyl content, respectively. It is not currently included in the harmonized USP/EP/JP monograph for Hypromellose.
Affinisol polymer is available in various grades that can help optimize solubility enhancement by maintaining stable solid dispersions and inhibiting API crystallization. These are soluble in many organic solvents and can be used in the formation of spray dried dispersions.
