Lycagel is a strong, high-performing veggie soft capsule system derived from pea starch technology. It offers the soft capsule manufacturers a high-quality plant-based alternative to gelatin for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets. Roquette’s solution leverages patented technology for manufacturing a modified pea starch composition that is high in amylose content. This enables the desired film-forming performance of Roquette’s veggie soft capsule solution. The product is adaptable to existing rotary die gelatin soft capsule manufacturing processes with minor modifications.

LYCAGEL VS 720 Hydroxypropyl Pea Starch USP/NF, EP Clean label, strong and durable capsules with seal integrity to avoid leaker defects, reproducible and capable of fills in different capsule sizes and shapes, and flexibility to manufacture at high temperatures
LYCAGEL FLEX Blend of Hydroxypropyl Pea Starch, Carrageenan, and Disodium Phosphate Anhydrous Clean label, strong and durable capsules with seal integrity to avoid leaker defects, reproducible and capable of fills in different capsule sizes and shapes, and flexibility to manufacture at high temperatures

Standard grade Glidant, anti-tacking agent and lubricant in various dosage forms
Micronized grade Anti-tacking agent for tablet coating, prevents agglomerations in the coater, eliminates stickiness during drying and reduces coating time
Ultra-micronized grade High surface area glidant for tablet presses, reduces friction, prevents binding during compression as well as ejection and guarantees smooth crack-free results
